December 2, 2021

announcements

  • On December 2, 1970, a new federal agency opened its doors. Created in response to the dawning realization that human activity could have major effects on the planet, the EPA, better known as the Environmental Protection Agency, heralded a new age of government action on behalf of the environment.

  • Tonight is the night…It’s the MZ Cluster’s Fines Arts Night 2021. The festive evening starts at 6:00pm at the PAC in Carrollton. I’m looking forward to it!! See y'all there and if you see me, say “Hi,” and pose for a photo!

  • Our basketball teams will be traveling to Cedartown this afternoon to take on the Bulldogs. Good luck, Eagles.

  • Teachers, don’t forget to snap those pics of your students decked out in their holiday spirit! Send them to me, preferably in an email, so I can post to social media.

  • The book fair is here and will be here until December 15th!! ELA teachers will be bringing classes today and tomorrow. ELA teachers, it might be a good idea to have your students bring a piece of paper and pencil to jot down items that they’re interested in purchasing. Just want to let everyone know that the media center is closed to checkouts today and tomorrow.

  • Tis the season for giving! FBLA is collecting canned and boxed food items for Christmas. A donation box is located outside of Mrs. T. Brown's door.

  • FBLA members will test online for the annual region leadership competition next Tuesday, December 7th. All members are required to be present. See Mrs. Brown if you have any questions. Study guides have been posted in Google Classroom.

  • Yearbooks are still on sale for only $45.00. Also, don't forget, 8th graders, to purchase your yearbook ads!! $20 will get in the yearbook. If you want to make an even bigger impression, consider purchasing a $40 (1/2 page) or $80 (full page) ad.

  • And…last but certainly not least, today is the one and only Alex Avila’s birthday! Happy birthday, Alex. This is going to be a great year for you…I have a good feeling about it!

12 school days!!! I think 12 may just be my favorite number today! But don’t let the end of the semester slip up on you, Eagles. Today, you still have time to make some improvements to your 9 weeks and semester grades. Two weeks from today will be too late. Just sayin…Once again, good luck basketball teams! And happy Friday eve, Eagles!
