September 9, 2020

  • Today is a Joshua Williams special day. Happy birthday, Josh and I hope it’s epic!

  • Menus for Tuesday, 9/10/20:

    • Breakfast: Chicken biscuit with fresh grapes and juice

    • Lunch: chicken sandwich with chips and all the fixins (lettuce, tomato, pickles), broccoli and cauliflower with dip, pears, and dragon punch (sounds interesting)

And just letting you know that until further notice, Carroll County Schools will be offering free breakfast and lunch.

  • Bret Cook and Andy Bankston were our top finishers for the boys and Angel Alphabet was our fastest girl yesterday at the Temple Middle School Cross Country meet. Keep working hard, Eagles! Our team will be running again tomorrow at Carrollton Jr. High!

  • I believe there must’ve been an error or a change to our golf teams schedule because they have their first match of the year this afternoon at Tally Mtn. Golf course in Tallapoosa. They will be teeing off against Haralson Co. and Carrollton. Good luck team!

  • The Lady Eagles will be playing in their annual Breast Cancer Awareness game this afternoon, Wednesday, September 9th, at the Tanner Complex. Let’s be sure to go out and support our girls as they take on the Bay Springs Bobcats. Pregame ceremonies will be at 5:00 with the game starting immediately afterwards. Good luck girls!

  • Still searching for overdue a media specialist out and return yours today!

  • Tomorrow the MZMS football team will be taking on Bowdon Middle School at home and the game once again is going to be played at the Donald L. Nixon stadium. The lady Eagles are on the road, heading to Red Devil country to battle with Bowdon. Good luck to both our Eagle teams!

  • Please don’t forget to check out the MZMS Facebook page, as well as the MZMS website to stay up to date on the latest goings on at MZMS.

That’s it for today. I hope you have a fantastic Wednesday and remember what Robert Collins said, Eagles….”Success is the sum of small efforts, repeated day in and day out.” Set your minds to be successful and then set about making those small efforts daily! See you on the flip side!
