  • Happy birthday to Gavin Febo and Coach Fussell. Make these two fellas feel special!

  • Any student interested in participating in the first ever MZMS Reading Bowl team please let your ELA teacher know. There will be a meeting after fall break

  • The October reading challenge has officially begun. Remember that it ends on October 31st! Read up, Eagles!

  • It’s Homecoming 2020 Week. Let’s all show some school spirit and dress up these next 3 days! Remember that the theme is Road-trip: Party in the USA.

    • Wednesday - New York: Dress preppy or as a Great Gatsby character

    • Thursday - California: Dress like a famous movie character or as a famous meme

    • Friday - Spirit Day: MZ spirit wear

    • The homecoming king will be crowned during 7th period Thursday in the gym via Google Meets! The parade is Thursday the 8th. Festivities start around 4:30 at the Post Office for walkers and at Dillard Ballfield for those riding on floats or in cars. Our football game will start at 6 at the high school...we’re battling the Bay Springs Bobcats. 8th grade football players and cheerleaders will be recognized during pregame. Then at halftime the homecoming queen will be announced.

  • Report cards go home with you Thursday. If 1st 9 weeks didn’t turn out like you wanted, set a goal to turn things around 2nd nine weeks.

  • And don’t forget that next week is FALL BREAK!

That’s it for today. Remember that tomorrow is New York day so dress preppy or like a character from the Great Gatsby! Also Eagles, be sure to be on your best behavior this week...you don’t want to lose your tailgating party!
