announcements

  • Happy birthday to Mason Moore! Hope your next 365 day trip around the sun is a wonderful one.

  • Any student interested in joining FBLA (Future Business Leaders of America) should see Mrs. Brown for a membership application.

  • The temperature yesterday afternoon was ideal for a Cross Country meet. Angel Alphabet and Brett Cook were the top finishers for MZMS. Brett placed 24th out of  121 boys and Angel placed 38th out of 104 girls. Kimberly Villalba, Melissa Nunez, Andy Bankston, and Brody Stewart all placed in the top 50 for their respective group. Great job Eagles!

  • Yesterday our 8th grade softball players played their last regular season home game. We came up short on the scoreboard, but sometimes the scoreboard is deceiving. I saw Riley Walker make two outstanding catches in center, Addison Warner has a couple of snags at the hot corner, Addison Corn scooped up several dribblers up the middle, and Daelyn Woods laid out for several grounders. Next week starts the playoffs and girls, everybody is even in the win/lose column when postseason play starts!

  • If you are interested in competing in the Carroll County Tech Fair, you need to see Mrs. Brown, ASAP. And just a reminder...if you competed last year, you are expected to compete this year as well.

  • Our golf team heads west this afternoon to Fairfield Golf course where they will tee off against the Villa Rica Wildcats. Good luck boys!

  • Flu Shots will be offered here at MZMS on Tuesday, Oct. 6th. Paperwork is available in the front office, so stop by and pick it up.

  • Yearbook and fall sports pictures will be this Friday, September 25th. Just a reminder that these pictures, yearbook as well as the fall sports pics, are pre-pay only. There is a link on Facebook and website for parents to purchase via a credit card.

  • Please don’t forget to check out the MZMS Facebook page, as well as the MZMS website to stay up to date on the happenings at MZMS.

Have a great day, Eagles, and I’ll see ya tomorrow.
