announcements

  • On November 30, 1982, American singer and songwriter Michael Jackson released Thriller, which became the best-selling album in the world and won a record-setting eight Grammy Awards.

  • Our fine arts night will be this Thursday, December 2nd at the PAC. Remember that it is a cluster event and it starts at 6:00pm. I know that it will be a fun filled night of festive performances!

  • Our girls basketball team defeated Temple middle school. Way to go girls. Our teams will be in action this Thursday as they travel to Cedartown to take on the Bulldogs.

  • Congratulations to our Academic team for placing 3rd in yesterday’s academic meet. Keep working hard!!!

  • The November reading challenge ends tonight at 11:59pm! You should complete 15 activities which require you to read 15 minutes for each activity with either a picture or a parent signature to verify. You should also complete a comprehension question for each activity. Students, the reading challenge paperwork should be turned in to your ELA teacher. ELA Teachers, I will be rewarding those students who completed the challenge the last week before Christmas break, so that gives you time to verify that students did complete it!

  • I’ve got a correction to yesterday’s wrestling announcement. Landon Ashley took 4th place in his weight class. Sorry about that Landon! I also want to wish our wrestlers good luck this afternoon and to remind everyone that the match is here at MZMS and starts at 5pm. Come out and see what wrestling is all about!

  • Today is Rylee Smith’s birthday!!! Happy birthday, Rylee. I hope you have a great day today and that it sets the tone for your next 365 day trip around the sun!

14 days...that’s how many school days are left in this semester. You need to be checking your grades now...don’t want until it’s too late! Have a great day, Eagles.
