Lunch Program Main Page Image

Mt. Zion Middle consistently serves a healthy and delicious breakfast and lunch to our students. We appreciate all the hard work our school nutrition staff puts in to feed our students, faculty, and visitors daily. Ms. Sandra Williamson is our Lunchroom Manager. If you have questions regarding the school nutrition program, please contact her.

Breakfast is served each morning from 7:45 am until 8:10 am. The cost of breakfast is $1.35 for all students and $.30 for reduced-price students. Breakfast for adults is $ 1.75.

6th and 7th grade students will eat in the cafeteria and 8th grade students will eat in an assigned classroom unless they are attending the Breakfast Club tutoring opportunities.

Lunch is served from 11:05-12:20 (by group). Lunch will cost $2.40 for students and $.40 for reduced-price students.   Adult prices are $3.50. Extra milk may be purchased for $.50.

Free and reduced lunch forms are available from the school or online (http://heartlandapps.com/). Forms not completed online should be returned to Mrs. Sandra Williamson. Only one application per family is required. If students received free or reduced meals last year in Carroll County, they will continue to receive those benefits for the first two weeks of school. However, the school must have a current application in order for the student to continue to be eligible to receive free/reduced meals. Further information may be obtained at the Carroll County BOE.

All schools have a computerized meal accounting system whereby money may be deposited for a week, month, or year. Monthly statements of account balance are available to students and parents.   Parents may pay on-line for their student’s meals at https://www.myschoolbucks.com

Students are not allowed to charge any meals. If there is a problem, please contact the front office or Ms. Williamson so we can make sure your student receives a nutritious meal that day. All food allergies or health concerns should be reported to the school nurse so that meal alternatives can be served.
